The National Equestrian Institute located in Avenches, the only stud farm in Switzerland, welcomes once every 3 weeks since the beginning of the summer and this until the autumn, the Elite frame of Swiss eventing riders during a CCI 3 and 4* model concept. During the latter, a scientific study is carried out by Dr. Alessandra Ramseyer from the ISME in Avenches as well as veterinarian and national team leader Dominik Burger.

For this project, which is intended in particular to study the performance and recovery of eventing horses, ISME commissioned Alogo to carry out the performance analysis part of the research. For that, all competitors wear an Alogo Move Pro sensor during each test (Dressage, 1st Jumping, Cross, 2nd Jumping).

Beyond the needs of the scientific study, the data collected will be very useful:

To the selector and the Swiss team leader (and to the other members of the federation) in their choice of couples for the Tokyo Olympics Games in 2021. For example, they will have the opportunity to observe the state of form of the couples and their progress from one deadline to the next, as well as to examine which horses will be most likely to perform in various climatic conditions and a cross-country construction of the style they will face in Tokyo next summer.

For riders and coaches in order to fine-tune the preparation of the Olympics (our Data will give them work tracks and a concrete, precise and quantified picture of their own feelings and vision).

To the builders of jumping and cross-country courses, who will then be able to study and calculate the fairness of their courses. The data from the Move carried by all the competitors, in particular the path taken by each one, speed statistics (instantaneous, average, peaks), the length of the strides and the parabolas of the jumps, will help these men to measure the types of difficulties met by the couples on some specific obstacle profiles.

These sessions will also have allowed us to confirm that the Move Pro is resistant to water and extreme conditions.! After many fords crossings, the sensors show no sign of weakness!
