Stride analysis

Strides Length and height : Amplitude and real height of all the horse strides at each gait.

Alogo Move Pro allows you to know the true amplitude and height of your horse strides. This data will guide you in the daily preparation of your horses for the competitions.

How to interpret Strides length and height?

During your first sessions with the Move Pro on your horses, you will discover the average height and length of their strides. Over time, by crossing the data collected by our device with your own sensations, you will be able to analyze or detect an anomaly in the way they move, quantify a progression and note the achievement of goals or even explain a fault at the obstacle due to an irregular stride length or unsuitable for the situation.

But stride analysis with Alogo Move Pro is not limited to explain, correct and work out weak points in training. This feature will also help you to be effective in your performance. The stride data will guide you for instance, during your competitions to find out where and why you lost time. For example, if you added a stride that you shouldn’t have added somewhere or if you lost some amplitude at certain moments along your trace. You can then rectify this for your next shows.

FACT!

Horses generally lower themselves in the last stride before the jump, to better propel themselves in the air and in the first stride upon landing. (During which they receive all the energy and strength they put into the jump). You will often see this mechanism in the data collected by Alogo Move Pro during the jump sessions.

To summarize, the stride analysis by the Move Pro will help you :

  • To detect a clinical problem, by a sudden loss of amplitude and height in your strides.
  • To train, according to each horse, our tool will assist you in identifying weak points and work on them. For example, you will be able to practice certain distances and configurations in the lines over fences, or on sequences of technical elements in dressage.
  • To perform, at the obstacle by analyzing your regularity stride by stride and jump by jump up to the centimeter. And in dressage, by observing your horse’s progress in the way he moves and deploys his gaits!

And much more to discover… We plan to develop even more features to analyze your horses’ strides and we look forward to introducing them to you the next months!
